Personal Statement:
I am passionate about creating a safe, collaborative, and inclusive space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey. As a therapist, I view each client as the expert in their own life and believe that meaningful change happens when we feel genuinely supported and accepted. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally sensitive lens, with a strong emphasis on building authentic therapeutic relationships.
With over three years of experience in mental health, I have supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, addictions, body image concerns, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with youth and young adults, as well as those exploring identity and self-worth. My approach draws on evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also integrate creative and narrative tools to support clients in expressing their stories in meaningful ways.
I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Theology with a focus on Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) as of June 2025. This registration affirms my commitment to professional, ethical, and competent therapeutic practice under clinical supervision. My academic and clinical training are deeply informed by a belief in the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
Outside of the therapy room, I find grounding in storytelling, artistic expression, and spending time in nature—all of which inspire and inform my therapeutic presence.
